The last week has been showreel crazy. I have spent a good deal of time recording new material and re-mastering existing material to place up on my showreel.

Logic Pro

I have also been getting to grips with new software as I have switched from ProTools, to Logic Pro. After a steep learning curve, my work flow has improved and I am getting better results.

New Material

The new material recorded has been a few snippets from my own work, Devolution, a dark thriller following the mysterious and violent deaths of a number of young women.

Mastering

I have been also developing a few new mastering techniques to assist in the material being fully ACX compliant.

It has been a busy few weeks for me as I relaunch and promote my voice over work. True, I have been doing this a while now, but I felt that it was time to formalise what I did, with some proper showreels, a funky looking website and some proper promotion.

Websites and Recording

It started last week with two exciting days at Sun King Media in Birmingham where I spend the time with Sean Flood recording some pieces for the showreel. These will be available online soon once the mastering is complete.

Good Old-Fashioned Website

Once that was done, I figured that I would need a place to showcase all this stuff, social media is a wonderful tool, but to show you mean business nothing beats a good, old-fashioned website! Fortunately the guys at Mimas Web Services were able to help here with reliable hosting and a bold, yet simple website design.

Social Media

Setting up my social media was next, that's Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, which are all ready to accept posts - hopefully, including this one!

The next step, to record more and keep recording, making sure samples are available of all my work.
